Lately we’ve been realising many time-lapse videos.
The time-lapse technique it’s very efficient and allows the supervision of some works’ progress (for example: constructions, renovations, demolitions, etc.) even for long periods of time, with a set frequency of shutter clicks.

In Edithink we elaborated a system consisting in arranging, in the proximity of the building we need to film, a weatherproof “box” in which we put a data transmission system.

This system makes us able to control the time-lapse from a distance; in the event of a malfunctioning we can intervene quickly to solve the issue, sometimes even without operating manually on the machine.
The camera used is a professional reflex and while it is operating it doesn’t require maintenance.

Using a reflex camera also means obtaining a better quality of images, thanks to its very high definition.
During post-production, an availability of such a footage could be of great help: we can go wild on details, focus on the specifics and most importantly the graphic designers can’t complain about the images’ quality!
